Ferry destinations and timetables

“Ro-Pax” vessel combines features of cruise & cargo ships. It will serve both passenger/tourist traffic as well as cargo truck shipment. “Ro-Ro” stands for Roll on/Roll off ship. Ro-Ro vessels, unlike Ro-pax, have limited number of cabins so only few trucks with drivers can be accepted.

Current timetables can be found by selecting the day for which you want to make a reservation in our “Your cargo booking” search engine. Our system will automatically search for the earliest time available, as well as provide you with suitable alternative departure.

No, there is no direct sailing from Poland to Norway. You can book a ferry from Poland to Sweden & drive further to Norway.

Yes, there are several ports connecting France & Great Britian. The most popular route is Calais to Dover with over 50 daily sailings.

Yes, there is a ferry crossing between Cuxhaven (Germany) & Immingham (UK). This route is operated by DFDS.

Booking a cargo ferry ticket

Cargo ticket is directed to transport companies, passenger ticket is for tourists.

It’s recomended to book in advance in order to guarntee a space on ferry. There is a limited number of spaces so showing up in port will not gurantee you a ticket.

Yes, you need to provide company contact details. Account holders will gain access to over 90 routes avalable on-line, current prices & informations about ferries/bridges/tunnels/trains.

We work from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Some prices are avalible only for registered users.

The most important data for booking is the length of the vehicle, the number of drivers, the weight of the cargo and the license plate numbers. If you are transporting ADR, you need a refrigerated electrical connection also be sure to mention it.

Open ticket means you can cross on the first available ferry.

Yes, be sure to indicate this when making your reservation.

You will receive a reservation number after confirming the place with the shipowner and paying for the reservation.

WL – Waiting list means that the reservation is awaiting confirmation by the shipowner.

The reservation number will appear on the system confirmation. You can find them in your account.

The driver will receive a printed ticket when checking in at the port. The driver only needs the reservation number generated by our freight forwarder.

Through our portal you can book a one-way or round-trip ferry crossing.

Surcharges for freight

The final price consists of the base price, BAF fuel allowance and tonnage allowance (in some cases).

Some ferry operators, due to rising operating costs, have introduced additional fees, the Bunker Adjustment Factor (fuel surcharge). The amount of this fee is reviewed monthly and increases or decreases depending on the fuel market situation.

Electricity surcharge introduced by Eurotunnel operator to account for high increase in the price of electricity.

Cargo weight often affects the price, especially in ferry crossings to Finland.

Depending on the route and the shipowner, there are differences in price between a loaded and an empty vehicle.

An additional fee may be charged for a loaded vehicle. This depends on the route and the shipowner’s tariffs.

The price for a second driver varies from shipowner to shipowner. You can check the amount of the fee when placing an order.

Port charges are included in the price. If there are any additional charges we will let you know.

On board

In majority of the cases cabin for the driver is included. On some routes food & drink is also included.

Not always – it depends on the route & the ferry line. In general short crossing are without meals & drinks. Longer sailings often include food & drinks. Driver will be issued with the voucher when boarding the ferry. Driver can always buy a meal in the cantine.

The driver absolutely can’t stay in the vehicle during the journey. He can go to cabin or passenger deck.

Diesel powered Frigo trucks have to parked on the open deck. It’s advisable to contact our office before making a booking. We’ll check with the ferry line if your vehicle would be allowed on board.

Yes. You may add addtional service i.e plug-in. Book additional driver or request to change registartion number. Please infom us in advance about any changes you’re about to make.

WL – Waiting list means that there is full occupancy of the ferry at any given time. However, the reservation is nevertheless pending confirmation by the shipowner.

If you do not show up at the port for your booked ferry crossing, the shipowner will charge a NO SHOW penalty.

Yes, but you need to infom us in advance. Ferry operators have diffrent cancellation policies. Depending on route cancellation request could be submitted beetween 4 – 48 hours prior to departure.

The shipowner may charge a penalty for late arrival or cancellations.

Payment for ferry ticket

The most convenient way to pay for your reservation is by card, google pay, apple pay or BLIK.

Foreign registered businesses are not subject to polish VAT tax, therefore Euro net price displayed on website is the final cost that you pay for the booking. This is the total amount that would appear on your invoice. Polish registered businesses must pay 23% VAT tax rate.

No, there is no additional surcharges for paying with debit card.

You will receive an invoice by email about 3 days after the crossing.

Hazardous cargo on ferries

ADR stands for Accord Dangereux Routie & it refers to international agreement which describes conditions for transporting dangerous/hazardous goods. Goods are classified by UN class. There are different ADR classifications for goods transported by road or sea. Cargo considered as safe/standard for road transportation might be recognized as dangerous in maritime transport ie. haystack.

Dangerous Goods Declaration – obligatory document required for transporting dangerous goods.

Some ADR goods are completely forbidden on passenger vessels (RO-PAX) & could travel only on RO-RO ships. Each ferry line might have their own regulation for transporting dangerous goods. In order to establish if ADR cargo is allowed on board you need to submit UN class, goods description & packing group. Based on that info ferry operator can advise if cargo will be accepted on board. Transporting ADR’s requires completed DGN document.

Empty cleaned – means that an ADR has been carried but, the vehicle has been totaly cleaned. Empty unclean – means that an ADR has been carried and the vehicle hasn’t been cleaned (addidtional ADR fee).

Documents necessary for a ferry crossing

The driver must have an identity document – preferably a passport.

EU citizens will need a valid passport to enter UK. None-EU citizens might also need a British visa.

MRN is a unique tracking number for custom documents. MRN is 18 characters long. It starts with the year when goods movement originates from followed up by EU country prefix ie.: 23PL; 23SE; 23DE.

ATA Carnet is an international customs document that allows for temporary entry of goods on a duty-free and tax-free basis. This document allows to enter/leave country with goods transported for trade fairs & exhibitions. You can buy ATA carnet from the local Chamber of Commerce.

To cross the border you must have a valid passport.

European Union citizens can travel to Tenerife with national ID cards alone. If your country does not issue identity cards, then a valid passport is required.

Pets and animals on board

Naturally there is such a possibility with regard to most ferry connections which we have on offer. If you want to travel with your pet, there are certain requirements stipulated by shipowners, which you have to fulfill. It is usually necessary for an animal to have a passport, valid vaccination certificates or an appropriate chip. If you wish to obtain details concerning requirements applicable to particular routes, please contact our office.

Usually transporting livestock requires vehicle to be parked on an open deck. Driver is responsible for providing food & water to the animals. Not all types of livestock is accepted on board. It’s advisable to contact our office before commencing journey. We’ll check with the ferry line about their requirements for transporting animals.
